You can set up the Eero system in bridge mode if your goal is to just ad more, meshed, access points.

This is a full router mesh system but if you place it behind another router it may cause other issues if you ever need ports opened or anything like that. You'd also want to check that the subnets don't conflict. Basically, if there's already a router on your network you'll need to take extra configuration steps. If you're already running another router and you want to continue using the existing one as your primary router/firewall then usually it's best to either use a WiFi extender (if it has WiFi built in) or an access point system (if there's no WiFi). Some home routers have access point and extender modes as well but this specific system isn't best used in that way IMO.
