This device will not improve your internet service. It will only extend the area in your house that can access your internet via wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Satellite is notoriously laggy unfortunately. You would want to check a few things. Connect a laptop via ethernet to your ISP/Hughes modem/router and test speeds and latency. This is the fastest speed you can expect on your connection. Let's for example's sake say you get 100Mbps here and a 50ms latency. Then, for wifi/Eero it would depend on what devices are connecting, what wifi technology they're using, what band (2.4 or 5ghz) they use, etc. This system works best with Wifi 6 devices. It's a newer standard, but also not the newest. You could get anywhere between full 100Mbps or very close to it to nearly half that, same with ping/latency, depending on these mitigating factors. So, this COULD help with latency you're seeing on your existing wifi, but will not resolve any latency inherent on the ISP connection ... which is easiest to measure by wiring direct to their router/modem.

The eero can only help if your remote devices are having issues getting to the Hughesnet wifi signal, so the eero would be useful to extend range. However, lag and streaming video will still be poor.
