That configuration should work. I have the main router and 2 identical satellites. I place one on each floor at opposite sides of the house (2200 sf). I have ran ethernet cables between satellites and main router. I also connect TVs and desktops by ethernet. All hardwired connections get the full speed promised by Xfinity (800mbps). Every other device (20+) in the house gets about 400-500 mbps wifi. Not sure if difference is due to wifi or limitation of my iPhones and iPads. But that is way more than any device needs.
