Yes I just purchased an eero router and attached my netgear nighthawk modem and router combination to it. Once the eero was up and running I then opened my netgear preferences and turned off the wifi broadcast capabilities so that it is only acting as a modem. It worked either way but I had multiple wifi signals and it was better to direct all the signal to only the eero. Hopefully this helps!
