If your T-Mobile unit has an Ethernet port you can connect an EERO as a gateway and build your mesh. Be aware of the double Nat translation, some stuff is sensitive to that. I don't know if you can setup your T-Mobile as a bridge only and turn off it's radio. That will make it into a modem only and all your problems will be gone unless your T-Mobile connection is bad.

As long as the TMobile router will give the eero access to the internet via an ethernet cable, yes, the eero will work with it just fine.

Why would you connect it to a router? The first one that your outside cable connects to becomes your router/hub
