The eero Pro 6E devices aren't designed with built-in ceiling mounting options, but here are several solutions for your Cat6 ceiling installation: Mounting Options: Third-party ceiling mounts - Several manufacturers make wall/ceiling mount brackets specifically designed for eero devices that attach via the device's base Flush mount boxes - Low-voltage junction boxes that can house the eero and provide a clean installation Adhesive mounting pads - Heavy-duty 3M or Velcro strips to attach the eero directly to the ceiling surface near your Cat6 outlet Custom mounting plates - Some homeowners create DIY solutions using small shelves or plates attached to the junction box Connection Setup: Run Ethernet from your Cat6 wall plate/box to the eero's Ethernet port The eero will need power via its included AC adapter, so you'll need a power outlet nearby or use a PoE adapter if you want to power it through the Ethernet cable Important consideration: The eero Pro 6E works best when positioned in open air rather than enclosed in a junction box, as this can impact Wi-Fi signal performance. • A:Answer yes you can set it as static instead of dhcp. you can also put it in bridge mode so that your router assigns the wireless addresses which will make your wired and wireless one big network. this is desireable if you want to print from a wireless device to a wired printer.

• A:Answer yes it works with xfinity, if you put it in a window it will reach 150ft outdoors for sure but a better solution is to add the eero outdoor module which will blanket your yard and even allow a point to point ethernet connection if needed.

• A:Answer Yes — but — the only reason to keep ALL nodes is for warranty reasons. (Must return/exchange ALL if anything happens) The only problem might be resetting devices/nodes (if already set-up = you must disconnect and reset within the APP/website @ names can't be changed independently along with chained nodes) IP ADDRESS might be easier than using the APP

Q: QuestionI have a 3 story house and have a spectrum modem and router. Can I add this mesh to my current configuration? Meaning I don’t want to replace my router from spectrum, I just want to add to the current coverage upstairs and downstairs

• A:Answer When I purchased the EERO routers I was told by Best Buy tech that these routers need to pair with one another and couldn’t have a conflicting router, another brand because it would interfere with them pairing. Therefore I purchased a modem by itself whereby I plugged one of the EERO router to it and then plugged in the other two upstairs. It was also important the two upstairs routers were plugged in away from other electronic devices. (So not near tv, etc.)

• A:Answer Yes it's going to work. You have to first setup and register the additional EERO device while within the Wi-Fi range of the gateway unit. Once that's done and the eventual update is completed, move the new ap to the desired location, connect it to your wired network and then power it up. It will self configure as wired rather than wireless for the backhaul.

• A:Answer I have a node that is set up approximately 100 feet from the main router in another building. It works, speeds are variable from very good to acceptable depending upon atmospheric conditions, but so far I've been happy with how this has worked. The building in which the second mesh node is set up is about 10 feet lower than the house, so I have the node on top of a cabinet to improve line of sight.
