A: I'm not an expert by any means. However I recently replaced all of the smaller eero rental routers from Hotwire (we had 5 of them) with the Pro 6E Tri-Band Mesh wifi routers that we purchased from Best Buy. They were very easy to install and we now have a stronger system in our home. Note we needed a stronger system due to outdoor landscaping lights that are wifi driven as well as cameras, etc. Some of the lights are 50'+ from the house so we needed a good reach. And...yes you can just plug a new eero router into a power outlet and it should synch up.
A: Hi Steve, Yes, the Eero Pro 6E has a 2.5Gbps WAN port and a 1Gbps LAN port. If your modem feeds the 2.5Gbps port, any wired connection from the Eero will be limited to 1Gbps. You could use a 2.5Gbps switch between the modem and Eero, but it may affect some Eero features and control. For full functionality, it's best to connect the modem directly to the Eero's 2.5Gbps port. Hope this helps!
A: In order for eero to work there must be one eero (which will be the head/gateway eero) hardwired to your modem/internet source. If you wanted to use a really long ethernet cable that will work. However, running cables all over a house isn't always feasible. If you have two (or more) eero you will have the gateway one hardwired to the modem. The other eero will connect to the first one (either wired or wirelessly) and they will both broadcast the same wifi network for your devices to connect to.
A: I have all Apple products and love my system
Q: Is the Eero pro 6 e compatible with AT&T internet service?
A: As long as the AT&T (or any ISP) provides you with access to the internet via an ethernet port the eero should work fine with it. We have quite a few customers who use AT&T
A: Yes, but you will need access to the eero app,to add them, so they will work as a mesh system.
A: Those are the same model, just differences in where they were manufactured. Performance will be identical between the two.
Q: Can I use the eero Pro 6E AX5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E Router with on older eero ( 3 pack ) ?
A: Yes but make sure the gateway is a Pro 6E. Any devices connected through your old nodes will be WiFi 5 and the new ones will be WiFi 6. Your mesh network will also have bottlenecks to lower speeds, so it would be recommended to use only new nodes for max output.

This eero router is amazing. Its signal reaches throughout my entire home and when combined with other eeros, the strength of the signal is insanely good. Absolutely love the ability to manage my devices and WiFi from anywhere with the eero app. Totally recommend this product!

Was excited about a Wi-Fi 6e router at a great price, but with that price comes some very large limitations. Was coming from a Velop Wi-Fi 5 setup prior. Here are the limitations: - No browser interface to manage router, must use app - WPA3 support is beta, is really WPA2/WPA3 not WPA3 Personal - No ability for advanced network management, can’t configure a MAC address filter, which bands are in use, channels, anything - No ability to manually configure device prioritization Here are the privacy concerns: - By default, your email address and name are used and uploaded to Facebook to be used for targeted advertising not only by Eero, but any advertisers that uses audience targeting. You have to email them with a specific subject line to opt-out - By default, you are enrolled in a trial of their Secure service, which further uses your personal data - Your device unique IDs are collected and used for targeting products and services to you. This unique ID allows advertisers to create profiles and link activity across 3rd parties - Eero collects the unique IDs and MAC addresses of all devices that connect to your network With an extremely limited ability to manage advanced settings, no ability manage the device from a browser, you can only use the app, no ability to see detailed logging of traffic on your network or what the router actually is doing, limited support for WPA3…you would be better off spending more money and getting a Wi-Fi 6e router that does not obscure it’s management functions and logging and provides finer-grained control over configuration. This is not really a “Pro” device. If you are a novice and want an inexpensive 6e router and are not concerned about your personal data, then this is not a bad option. If you want more control over your network security and desire more transparency, try a device like Linksys Atlas AXE8400. That is what I am replacing this with.

Main unit sits in bedroom. Forgotten it’s even there. WiFi just works and I never really think about from where. Funny. Easy set up by the way.
