A: Each battery-operated camera comes with one battery and one mount. You download the Ring app on your phone and follow directions that comes with the camera, it's fairly simple. You name each camera according to their location, for example, Frontdoor, Driveway, Deck, etc... Your Ring app is your base station, you are able to retrieve all the information from the app, unless you have problems with your camera, which in turn you'll notify Ring. PS. Before you mount the camera, download it to your app, this way you have a live feed on your phone, and it will help you decide the location and angle of the camera. If you need any help, call Ring.
Q: Do I have to buy a subscription to record video?
A: Yes. Ring gives you one free month, after that, you'll need to subscribe for about $40 per year, for each camera, and $100 for three or more cameras. Without the subscription, they will not store the recordings.
Q: How long does a typical charge last? How often will I have to charge the battery?
A: I check mine once a month but and rechargd them, but they have never been under 50% power and they are usually at 75%.

You can add a camera or doorbell to any location. However, the motion-activated lights can be enabled or disabled in the Ring app. When enabled, the lights will turn on when motion is detected. Ring Cameras have been great so far!
We had an issue with our previous cameras from another company. The camera did not record a break in that we had and that company had terrible customer service. I immediately went to best buy and the staff member helped me out with choosing the Ring cameras. So far, we have been very pleased with the cameras operation, quality, and installation. I can't truly comment on how long the battery lasts since we bought the solar panels for each camera. We did have to charge one camera once because my Halloween inflatables would move in the wind and set the camera off, but I didn't mind. It was super easy to remove and charge the battery. Also, I did get a notification that someone was in my side yard and then my front yard. I immediately went to the front door and the person(lost delivery driver) hadn't even made it to the front porch yet, so I'm very pleased with quickness of the notification in a timely manner.

Great for those not electrically savvy
Purchased these more than once to surround my house. Works great with the Ring app. Battery life is fairly substantial. Probably have to climb up on a ladder 2x a year to charge the batteries in the backyard. Works very very well for something that is not hard wired. The Ring system is good for capturing movement even in the dark. Does not have to be hard wired, which makes installing wherever you want a breeze. Highly recommend.

Get them!!
The best security cameras on the market. Installation took about 5 minutes for both of them, the quality is amazing. And they are very affordable, will definitely buy 2 more.
