A: no subscription needed to use, but if you want video history storage its 4 bucks a month for 1 unit or 10 bucks monthly for unlimited units.
Q: Will the camera pick up outdoor activity if positioned inside looking out a window?
A: Yes, it will record from the inside of the window looking out although at night there needs to be lighting outside otherwise you will see the window reflection. I don’t have the porch light on only Christmas lights. A bit hard to see with only Christmas lights. Better during the day or porch light on. Pictures for reference 1. No lights 2. With Christmas lights only 3. Evening.
Q: How does it compare to Ring Stick-up camera? It costs only 50% . What features it doesn’t have?
A: Hi Robin. Good question. The main difference between the Ring Indoor Cam and the Ring Stick Up Cam is where you can place them and how they receive power. Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard power outlets for nonstop power. Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes almost anywhere, indoors or out. Plus, it's weather-resistant and comes in 4 different power options: battery, plug-in, solar, and power over Ethernet. Q: How long is the power cord?
A: power cord about 48"
Q: is the privacy cover moved by manually or is it moved by the app
A: You have to move it manually.
Q: Is there a backup battery for when power goes out?
A: Hi Mary. Thanks for asking. No, the Ring Indoor Cam does not have a backup battery. The Ring Indoor Cam is a small, lightweight security camera with flexible mounting options specifically designed to be used indoors. It is powered using plug-in power with a 7-W USB-A power adapter. Q: Can the blue record Light Be turned off
A: Hi, Ron - The solid blue light on your Ring Indoor Cam indicates that the camera is actively recording or in setup mode. As of now, there's no built-in option in the Ring app to disable this light. This feature is designed to ensure transparency and inform individuals that they are being recorded, which can be important for privacy and legal reasons. If the blue light is distracting or you'd prefer it to be less noticeable, some users have found success by gently covering it with a small piece of black electrical tape or a custom decal designed for this purpose. These solutions can help reduce visibility without affecting the camera's functionality. Please note that modifying the camera in this way is not officially supported by Ring and may void your warranty. Additionally, it's important to consider local laws and regulations regarding surveillance and recording before making such modifications.
Q: Do they have to be program with the other ring camera.
A: Hello. We appreciate the time you have taken to ask this question. No, the devices can be setup on the same or separate locations within the Ring app, or on separate accounts. The Ring Indoor Camera was super easy to set up and delivers sharp video both day and night. Motion alerts are quick, and I love being able to check in and talk through the two-way audio when I’m away. It’s compact, blends in easily, and integrates perfectly with Alexa. The subscription is inexpensive for video history and totally worth it. Highly recommend for anyone wanting affordable, reliable home security.

We have the Ring alarm system and different cameras around the house, and these pack is an addition for a couple of blind spots inside facing out. They are easy to setup, easy to use, I like how easy it is to just close the lid so it does not record once we are inside. I would like the change for the cable to be USB C but it comes with its cable so no big deal. It comes with the power adapter, cable and screws in case you need them. Overall the set works great, good value and they have been working well.

These indoor cameras have been a great addition to our home. We got them to replace another brand, and due to the Black Friday sale, got them cheaper than our other off brand cameras. The set up was extremely easy. We didn’t mount them, so that made our set up pretty fast. The app was easy to understand and navigates you through the process. The picture quality is amazing. We had another brand for years, so I didn’t know that we could have such a great picture quality. We can see everything in each room very clearly, even when you zoom in. You can view rooms live and listen in and speak to whoever is in the room through the app. We also take advantage of motion detection, having the cameras set to record motion in each room. Overall, this was such a great buy. I can’t wait to add more ring cameras to our home security system.
