A: siren only goes on when you turn it on. Motion does not activate the alarm
A: You can set a schedule for your camera or have it always enabled. Via ring bridge and the app you create groups of devices. I have one with camera on one side of my garage and one without on the other. I also have a Ring lightbulb in the lantern next to my door. If either sensor detects motion it can turn both floods on and the single bulb. And the flood without camera can turn on the camera at the same time. What I am thinking I could do it get another bulb for inside the house and have it set to turn on when the motion sensor detects something and it could be a silent alert. That might get annoying but it is an option.

A: You’ll leave the light switch on at all times. Turning it off wil shut the camera off also. The light will always activate with motion and also you can turn on the light from the app. Just click on the camera and turn lights on. They’ll stay on till you turn them off that way.

A: Yes, there are time intervals. With these (wired) it is fine to have a longer time set. Also, you can set it up to capture "stills", which helps in basically 24 hour recording.
A: You can’t replace the light bulbs. You have to call ring and they will send you a replacement unit and you send yours back to them.

Best purchase ever! Best buy is the best!
Ring will always be my preferred camera security system! I'm so happy I made this purchase. I bought it for my parents who are now alone at home and to keep my self sane, having this camera is super helpful! It has two way audio, night vision, the lights are not too intense so it won't hurt your eyes to look at and still reaches far out. There are so many features on the Ring App that let you change view, motion alerts, and much more. I’ve tried other brands but they aren't cutting it! Would definitely get more of their products to make the whole system. We also purchased the door bell and installed flood light in the front and back of the house and you can see everything with the wide view. It’s nice to be able to see who’s at the door before getting there lol I get alerts for everything and everytime a car passes by but you can change the motion alert to only be within a certain area in the cameras view. There is much more you can do too! Also please get the protection plans, these are electronics, they aren’t indestructible, eventually wear and tear will happen and Best Buy protection plans will always have you covered! Get ring flood light! You won’t regret it and you’ll feel more at ease knowing that you’re protected!

Great buy
Love it. It gives a clear picture, the motion settings are awesome, and it’s easy to use with the app. You can talk through it and you can actually set off a siren also. I have 2 of these. One for the front and one for the back. I have the whole ring alarm system as well. It’s all combined together and super easy to use!

Ring Exterior Floodlight Cam 1080p wired
Easy to install and set up with the Ring App. It has great picture quality and a wide view. The Ring App pairing was easy. The sensor sensitivity, range, and duration are done through the app. The lighting coverage is great also. I purchased mine during a sale at BB. It's well, money spent.
