So far, so good. I wanted to try out this latest model. The video is clear and easy to install along with being designed better to remove battery. I am still observing battery life for this doorbell.

Picked up this Ring doorbell as I needed one for the front of my house. I have a Pro model wired facing south but wanted this one by the other door facing west. Got it set up and it connected flawlessly to my internet. Has been working fine since. As we already have a Ring account we get all the notices with AI descriptions. The battery life isn't too bad. Have used it for 8 days and still have 73% left using the 60 second record time instead of Auto. Nice feature is the easy remove battery too. I have several extras from other battery cameras inside so won't be a problem changing it out. Great price on sale too. I definitely can recommend!

We’ve had Ring for a long time, ever since we got our first doorbell I’ve seen plenty of improvements and the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen) is a great upgrade over the previous version, they both work great but there are many upgrades that are just great. First it arrived fast and well packaged with everything needed for an easy installation, the application helps out a lot when it comes to the installation since it gives you step by step information with short videos and pictures so it is just easy. The Ring doorbell is slim and tall that looks great in any place. When it comes to performance, the video is very sharp due to its 2K with high resolution and the video also captures further up and down to catch head-to-toe. Best of all we can zoom in closer in the video and see much more detail. When it comes to low light in the evening or at night, it captures better and in color video with minimum light. When it comes to battery, it lasts a long time and it is very easy to replace the battery, we have the charger with another battery on hand so all we have to do is swap the battery when it is running low and there are no periods of no security. As for motion detection, it works great, we do not get notices with moving shadows or other objects, it works well and in the application we can set the area to be active for motion and that gives us notifications that we really care for. Using the two way talk comes in useful, we’ve used it in different occasions, if someone is in the front door we can talk to them from anywhere and let them know either we are on the way to the door or perhaps to come back, if it’s any kind of delivery we can give them further instructions without even opening the door. We also like that this Ring doorbell can be also hardwired, and that is very useful because there is no more need to replace any batteries. Overall, it is an awesome upgrade from our previous one, we are keeping the previous version but installing it in the backdoor while this new upgraded doorbell is installed in the front of the house where we get the most traffic. It looks great, it is very useful to keep an eye on our house, it gives a layer of security that we have gotten used to.

I had pondered for a long time about which door camera to get once I had decided to purchase one and after reading a ton of reviews I decided on this Ring Battery Doorbell PLUS Camera. I wanted the Head-To-Toe visibility so I could see the ground for packages. It not only comes with super easy set-up instructions, but it also comes with a AA battery and charging cord. When someone rings the doorbell you are immediately notified however I do wish I was notified a little earlier but maybe that can be adjusted via the sensitivity settings which I have yet to tinker with. Package: In the box is the camera, instructions for set-up and how to add your device to the mobile Ring App. It also comes with an extra battery for charging the camera, extra screws, and a wedge to lower the angle of the camera (it can tilt down or to the side depending on your space). Mobile App: The mobile Ring app is user friendly and easy to navigate. You can see all of your doorbell history free for 30 days (after that, it is $4.99 a month for the basic subscription). It is CHEAPER to pay for a year than to pay monthly. I chose the basic subscription because I only have one device and opted out of needing certain features. The layout of the app is clear and easy to understand, just nice & straightforward. Camera & Sound Quality: The camera quality is excellent. It's very clear even at night. Camera quality is one of the first things to look for when deciding on a camera and I have ZERO complaints so far. The video quality is just as good as pictures and when talking to someone, sound is also clear and easy to understand. In the short period I have had the Battery Doorbell PLUS I have thoroughly enjoyed using it & am pleased with the purchase, I would reccommend to anyone if asked.

If you are upgrading, you will appreciate that even though the redesigned body is slightly longer than the previous model, the screw holes still match perfectly. It also comes with an angled wedge plate in the box which was perfect for my situation as have a protruding corner wall that creates a blind spot. Once it is up, the video quality is stunning. The "Retinal 2K" resolution (1920×1920) and 140-degree square field of view give you a clear, head-to-toe look at your porch. It does have a slight "fisheye" lens effect, but that I can adjust to that for how much extra area and how many packages it captures. Performance is speedy and reliable, and it has a crisp night vision and responsive two-way audio that lets you talk to visitors naturally without a lagging delay. The noticeable feature of this new model for me is the improved, cloud-based AI notifications. Instead of just getting a generic motion alert, the doorbell now gives me highly detailed descriptions of what is happening. It can identify specific couriers, letting you know if an Amazon or UPS driver has arrived, or even describe actions like "a person is walking out of the house with a dog." This makes it incredibly easy to tell if the camera is just catching a neighbor on their own porch or if someone is actually approaching your door. You can also tag familiar faces to cut down on unnecessary alerts when family members come and go. Battery performance is equally impressive. Real-world testing shows it holding onto roughly 73% of its charge after 8 days of heavy use, even with a longer 60-second recording limit. Because it uses Ring’s standard quick-release battery, swapping it out for a fresh one is a breeze, though you can always hardwire it down the road if you want it to trickle-charge automatically. I still wonder why they use micro-usb charging as most devices these days have switched to usb-c. The only real catch is that there is no onboard storage; to save videos and unlock the advanced AI features and courier tracking, you will need an ongoing Ring Protect subscription. I don't mind since I already have an account. Overall, if you are looking for a battery-powered smart doorbell that balances easy installation, great smart features, and high clarity, this is easily the best version of the Ring doorbell yet.
