Hi Mark! Eero devices do not have internal fans and rely primarily on passive cooling, meaning they use their outer casing to dissipate internal heat. Because of this it is normal for them to feel warm or hot to the touch. Eeros do require good airflow and an open environment to regulate their temperature so it is recommended that they be kept in the open and avoid placing them in unventilated cabinets.
