• I believe I get approx. 200+ copies before I have to buy black ink. The colors last longer because I tend not to use those as much.

• There might be something wrong with your printer. I am still on the ink that came with my printer and I have made more than 20 copies. I would contact the store that you purchased the printer from or at least Epson.
