“I own an Epson XP-8700. I accidentally printed a few color prints,and depleted my light cyan cartridge. My work is exclusively black and white, yet my XP-8700, since I depleted my light cyan, refuses to print in black and white. How do I work around?”

Hello. The XP-8700 can temporarily print in "black only" mode when other color cartridges are expended. If the print stops, you can cancel your print job and select settings to temporarily print with only black ink on plain paper or an envelope. We recommend replacing your light cyan cartridge as soon as possible as this can lead to print head-related issues. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This printer will only operate if there is an active cartridge in it, replace the empty cartridge and it will work just fine. I have printed hundreds of pictures in all sizes and love this printer. It only stops printing when there is an empty cartridge.
