Love being able to print labels on my CD's and DVD's that I create. Quality good. A little temperamental about connecting to wifi sometimes. Some heavier papers don't pick up as well as I would like, but then it is not a high end priced printer either.

Sharp, clear, crisp. Regular printing is as perfect and precise. Control panel is exactly as it should be: USER FRIENDLY. No forest of micro step confusions and indeciferable instructions to get a job done. Perfect size, looks and fits just right, not a big obtrusive box, commandeering of space. Makes any kind of printing job a pleassnt experience.

High-end performance in a small package

I'm taking a digital photography class and we use Epson P800 and P900 photo printers which hover in the $1000 range. They can handle larger formats and rolls of paper which the XP-8700 does not, however I don't need that feature and the print quality is nearly identical . The high-end printers use 10 ink cartridges and the XP-8700 uses six, however I've compared and identical output sent to both printers and side-by-side you cannot tell the difference. The DPI and color depth is virtually identical. This product is a fantastic buy for the money.

The print is very clear and it is a lot faster printing than my last printer, which was not an Epson.

Slow to print double sided material.

I am happy with the quality of print, as I have always been with the Epson printer.

One thing anyone needs to know is that the ink jet needs to be the brand name ink jet. I purchased a generic brand by mistake and didn’t know it and my printer wouldn’t print that color. Once I installed the EPSON ink jet cartridge, it printed perfectly.

Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly. DOA and no replacement available.

BUT. Best Buy did not have a replacement unit and caused me to go though a lot of work to get a printer from another source.
