Yes, the Epson XP-6100 works as a stand-alone copier so you can copy/scan directly to paper without the need for another device. The printer can be set up with an email address to receive email. I haven't found a way to send a scan from the XP-6100 directly to email (without sending the scan to another device first and then using that device to send the email).
