• A:Answer I haven't experienced that exact scenario yet, but I was running low on Black ink and the printer asked if I would like to use the Photo Black when the Black ran out for the ability to keep printing. I would believe if the printer has that option, it should give the option to switch over to just B&W when the color inks run out.

Q: QuestionHello. I recently got this printer to sublimate images onto coffee mugs. I was told this printer was compatible for that. But I’m having trouble. I’m wonder if the ink that cam with the printer is different than sublimation ink??

• A:Answer Yes, it is very different. You must have sublimation ink to sublimate. Once you convert a printer to sublimation ink, you can no longer use it as an inkjet printer. It then becomes a sublimation only printer.

• A:Answer Yes, the Epson XP-6100 works as a stand-alone copier so you can copy/scan directly to paper without the need for another device. The printer can be set up with an email address to receive email. I haven't found a way to send a scan from the XP-6100 directly to email (without sending the scan to another device first and then using that device to send the email).
