“My last Epson wouldn't print B&W if i ran out of Cyan, LM, Yellow, LC or LM. Do I need all colors to print B&W?”

• I haven't experienced that exact scenario yet, but I was running low on Black ink and the printer asked if I would like to use the Photo Black when the Black ran out for the ability to keep printing. I would believe if the printer has that option, it should give the option to switch over to just B&W when the color inks run out.

• Yes you need all colors. I have plenty of black ink but I am out of magenta so I am unable to print. Even when I send it though as a black and white document. Ridiculous

• So, I'm out of black photo ink and it doesn't allow me to print black and white. I have plenty of black ink but I don't have black "photo" ink. No override process from the manufacturer. They will not replace or return.
