“My Best Buy salesman said this unit only displays pictures in Black & White. Is this true? Or does the Black/white description in the title reference the color of the unit. The salesman said I had to buy the Epson 3260 for $449.99 to display color”

This projector will display whatever is shown on the source (I.e., laptop), color or B/W. I bought this model for a presentation I created and it does display in color. Sounds like you were being upsold by the salesperson.
