“Can the scanned document be saved as a searchable PDF if the scanner is only being operated wirelessly (i.e. scan to cloud or using iPhone app to scan direct to phone.). It looks like you have to use Mac or Windows software in order to do this.”

Helo Patrick. To create a searchable PDF with the ES-580W, you must scan the document using the Epson ScanSmart software. To download the latest Epson ScanSmart software, please visit our official Epson Support page. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
