- Answer Hi tech12261984, The WorkForce ES-580W can do everything the ES-500W II can do, plus it has a touchscreen to allow scanning directly to cloud services without a computer connection, it holds 100 sheets versus 50 sheets, and it can scan directly to a USB storage device. - Answer Hi Cmackenz, If you use a carrier sheet with you thermal receipts you can scan them using the ES-580W and get a separate PDF for each receipt. You can even use the included OCR software to convert the receipts into searchable PDFs. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

- Answer Hello Bill. Yes, there are different ways to send a scan to Email. You can send the scan to the computer from the scanner control panel over USB and send the Email using Epson ScanSmart software. Also, you can configure the scanner to send scans directly from the scanner control panel to an Email recipient. This would need to be configured from a computer web browser using the scanners web configuration menu. Lastly, you can setup a Epson Connect account (Scan to Cloud) and send scans to Email directly from scanner control panel. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

QuestionWe may use the wi-fi, but the corded connection may also be used. In the pictures, the cord uses the old style USB. Will a newly shipped unit come with current Mac connections?
