Yes, it's a lit color lcd panel, works good in dark

I may not totally understand the question, but we have no problem seeing the screen. it is nice and bright and user friendly.

Yes. Also the panel flips out for a clear view of the controls but then can be pushed back flat to be out of the way. My second Epson-happy with both.
