The video shows it using the magnetic base, which is definitely convenient if you want to regularly move one camera to different areas of your property. I'm guessing the manufacturer wanted to highlight that feature for whatever reason... In fact they do come with a much more secure permanent mounting option - its a base that screws in to your wall, then the cameras thread on to a little arm on that base. Quite secure, and still a very clean looking install with no visible screws or hardware. This is how I mounted them to the exterior of my home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a camera that can upload to the cloud. If an excellent mounting spot is selected, you will have a video of the person removing the camera. Mine is mounted about 9 feet above the ground to deter would-be pirates.
