Q: QuestionCould you help me find a new blade for my grinder?I would like to replace the blade on my grinder since mine is about 30 years old and I imagine your new one would be a lot sharper - I don't need the entire grinder, just the 4-pronged blade which should fit all your grinders.
Asked by bearmotter.
- A:Answer These questions mainly go to other users, not Best Buy or OEM. I can tell you that these can be sharpened at a knife/scissor sharpening store. Since this may be rare in your area (depending upon where you live), you may also find a farmer or metalworker that is used to working with tempered knives. They may be able to add life to your blade. Other than doing that, you might have to purchase the whole unit. I know the plastic gets brittle as it ages (mine cracked), so it may not be a bad idea to change the housing as well.

Q: QuestionHow many slicing cones? I see some have 4 cones. 2 slice and 2 shread.
Asked by Marina.
- A:Answer Hi Marina, this one is actually a stand-alone meat grinder and does not slice. There are 2 size blades it comes with for coarse or granular grinding. Doesn’t do much more than that.

Q: QuestionCan this grinder handle processing deer meat?
Asked by 5Nana.
- A:Answer The short answer is yes. the longer answer is, if you process a lot of deer you may be better off getting a stand alone grinder. But if you already own a kithenaid its a very affordable way to girnd your own meat.

Q: QuestionReal Hardwood Food StomperSome of these are FGA packages say they include a Hardwood Food Stomper, yet they are really coming with a plastic wrench with a stomper molded into the handle which is not ideal. Does this one have the Hardwood stomper?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The older model came with the wooden pusher and a separate wrench. The new model (as of probably 8-10 years ago) comes with a combination wrench for removing cover ring and the pusher as the handle. The description saying wooden pusher is just an old description.
