The older model came with the wooden pusher and a separate wrench. The new model (as of probably 8-10 years ago) comes with a combination wrench for removing cover ring and the pusher as the handle. The description saying wooden pusher is just an old description.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, this bad the plastic wrench with the stomper on the handle. You can purchase a separate stomper, but to use the multi tool included isn't much of a problem. The chuck pulls the food into the grinder without having to push it down the feeder.

I made a ton of tomato sauce this year with the additional seed strainer attachment and some sausages with no problem but, no, it does not have a hardwood stomper.
