Why did they cancel the preorder bonus without any explanation? null

I commented earlier and it won't let me edit that post so this is actually a follow up. Best buy is not helping with this because it is not actually a pre-order bonus. It is in game content that is included with the day one edition. Here is how to download it (source reddit): You start the Yuffie Game > Go to Start Menu > System > Gift Box > and there you can download it all. 
It is interesting to me how not one single person at Best Buy knows anything about this. It caused a lot of frustration for a lot of people. Good luck and happy gaming, all.

I too had my pre_order bonus randomly cancelled. I followed up with best buy numerous times and they kept telling me they would eventually figure it out and issue it. Per my last conversation I found those previous ones to be misleading. This is what I was told:

"XXXX, thanks for your patience while I checked this for you. I reviewed your order, and it looks like the preorder bonus was supposed to be sent automatically once the order was released. However, the vendor didn’t provide any codes on their end, which caused the preorder bonus to be canceled. Since preorder bonuses aren’t sold as individual items, we’re not able to fulfill that code directly from our side.

At this stage, I recommend contacting our digital team so they can reach out to the vendor on your behalf. If possible, they’ll help you with the code. I can’t promise the outcome, but unfortunately, that’s the only option available now, as waiting for it to arrive wouldn’t work since it has already cancelled."

I am going to reach out to the digital team but I my hopes are low. If successful I will revisit this post and update it.
This is unfortunate because Best Buy has been one of the more reliable retailers when it comes to this kind of stuff.

The content is included on the "cart" as a part of the release.

The digital code is no longer needed confirmed by Square Enix. The digital downloadable content is in the main menu of the game when you start it up, there will just be an option to download all of it or individually.

I contacted customer service and was told they knew about the issue. The system automatically cancelled the order and they are working on it, but didn't give any more information about when the issue would be resolved. I read on some facebook post that the bonus is in redeemed in game and there isn't a code. I would wait for an email or contact customer service if there isn't any update on issue.
