Yes stay cool to the touch all around. The warm air blows out from the bottom.

I don't know why this would be a question anyway because this isn't something to let kids play near. I put mine on a cookie sheet because it said to have a firm place to set it. I didn't think my carpet was that, so I put it on a cookie sheet on the carpeting. Works great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the glass does stay cool to the touch. The only part that is hot is in the bottom of the heater where the air comes out. But the unit itself stays cool like the front, top, and back.
