I bought my Fitbit Alta just about a month ago. At first it was a bit frustrating with snapping the band together. However after awhile it was very easy to snap. You just need to press a little harder with your thumb on the outer part of the band against your your index finger on the inner band until you hear a faint snap sound. Fitbit does sell other bands without the snaps. Checkout their website and plus the website has some sale on bands going on now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They have other bands but as far as I can tell they are have the same type of clasp. At first the clasp is really hard to get the knobs to fit but as you use it and take it off and put it back on it both gets easier to do and it loosens some. You may want to try the leather straps. I can't say that they are any better as I haven't bought one yet but the leather may give a little more than the rubber does with wear.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've seen where they sell leather bands as well as a stainless steel band. I am not sure about the closures on those.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Knobs r meant 2 be BIGGER. To prevent it from coming off. Just press HARD on the holes 2 insert.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had trouble too at first. I was pressing it closed in the center of my wrist but found it was easier to press it against the side of my wrist , closer to the bone. It was a firmer backing. Then just feel for the click. Good luck.
