It vibrates and shows on the screen who texted you or who’s calling you but it does not show the entire message. It is pretty much just to notify you in case you don’t have your phone within reach. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth but does not play music.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I DO know that the Fitbit Alta DOES show cellphone numbers that call and also ONE message notification of your choice. Some of the notification sources that you can choose are Hangouts, Message+, Messenger (I think that's Facebook), and WhatsApp. We selected WhatsApp as our source, and it shows the sender, and their message (it scrolls across the Fitbit Alta screen once).
