No, it is water resistant, meaning you can wear it while washing dishes, your face, etc but cannot fully submerge in water.

Its water resistant but not waterproof. You can get it wet with sweat or rain but fitibit doesn't advice showering or swimming with it.

NO! Don’t emerse it in water. Sweating is fine however, showering or swimming with it will kill it. In my opinion, this is something they need to fix!

Only lightly water resistant - okay to sweat in it. I wouldn't shower nor swim in it.
