Is the Fitbit suppose to track steps when your just moving your arm? I was sitting not walking doing my hair and makeup and it was racking up the steps so every time I moved my arm it basically saying I was walking and I'm not ..... this is not accurate null

I've had that happen here and there as well, but it is rare. I think at the end of the day you have to accept it is not going to be 100% accurate, but so long as it is pretty close and motivates you to move more, than mission accomplished :)

It's on your arm so if you are moving it, it will probably track some steps. I think of it like activity tracking and use the steps tracked as a guide. Basically if I am standing still and still being active, something should track that too. Those steps just fall into that category for me. Nothing is going to be 100% accurate anyway. Just use it as a daily guide to stay active.

The fitbit will record any activity as steps, since is its initial purpose is to register movement related to walking/running I personally deduct about 15% of the total activity regularly, since I work on a desk and I do have a lot of upper body movement.
