Yes, Fitbit Blaze controls music.

The Fitbit Blaze and Surge both allow you to control your music, but it has no speaker to play it off of. So you'd still have to have a phone connected with headphones. I would recommend a wireless bluetooth headphones depending on how you do your workout. I go to the gym so having my phone on me at all times is great vs leaving it on the locker. and best buy has the cordless/bluetooth headphones from samsung for $150 which would work great with either one of those fitbits especially if you don't go to the gym all the time and work around the house or near your neighborhood.
