It can be clipped on to an article of clothing or carried in a pocket. Depending on the day and what I am wearing I may clip it on or put it in a pocket.

My wife just carried hers and it did fine. The only problem she found was it sometime slipping out when she reached in for things.

I carry it in my pocket and it works just fine. Don't worry about losing if in my pocket.

I find it works better in the pocket, since your leg moves more as you get farther from your hip. The only thing you might lose is flights of stairs, since it goes by air pressure, which is muffled when contained in cloth.

I usually carry it in my pocket, but the case does have a very strong clip.
