Does the Fitbit - Surge sizes large and small have all the same features or are they different? null

The features are the same. It is just different sizes for different size wrists.

As far as I could tell when looking at them, the only thing that determines small and large is the length of the wrist band

The same. I had to return the small one to get the larger one, which was out of stock and had to be shipped to me at a later time. The one I have now does not flip from screen to screen (time to steps to he etc.) I have to tap it little on the harder side to get it to light up and do what I want. I know this because the small one did what it was supposed to easily. I do not want to return it because I already did it once, and I still like it.

The band on the large is is longer than the band on the small. The band is what wraps around your wrist and is attached to the watch.

The different sizes of the watch have no bearing on the features that come with the watch.
