A:Answeryou can just sync it when you get home and don't need a smart phone at all. best thing is you don't even have to manually do it when you get home. if you leave the "dongle" that comes with it in your computer and have your computer on sometime it will automatically detect your fitbit and sync with it.
A:AnswerYes, it will synch with your phone to notify you when there is an incoming call or text message (not email). You can read the text, but not reply, nor can you answer your call from your wrist.
A:AnswerIt does keep track of the calories burned per day. When you sync it to your phone it gives details about the heartrate during the day, calories burned, any exercise. It is a great tool for the active person. I love mine.
A:AnswerUnless you have it set on any of the features, it just works like a watch except that it silently tracks you calories burned, steps taken, floors climbed and your heartrate. It does not make any noise at all. It does vibrate if you get 10,000 steps or you get a text message. I am sure you can turn the text message alert off.
A:AnswerI find it not to be accurate. I used it with the mapmyrun app & was off about 1.25 miles. I still plan on testing with starva. On my runs I have found that Surge & strava are pretty accurate
A:AnswerI use the 24hr continuous heart rate function all day and night, every day. I don't use the GPS feature (mostly for runners). I was using the text msg "notification" feature (which only shows your last received text, or the caller ID of whose calling... if your cell is in range), but turned it off, bc it's not very useful in how it's displayed. Disappointing. However, I like that I can go 4 to 5 days between charges (takes about an hour for 100%).
A:AnswerIt provides time, heart rate, cadence in real time during your workout but, only provides a map and workout details after your activity has been synced to your computer. You can program it to show you mile markers during your run. I hope that helps.
A:AnswerIt's water/sweat resistant, not water proof. The info in the packet said, " do not shower or submerge." Only clean with damp cloth and no soap. Hope that helps.
