I find it not to be accurate. I used it with the mapmyrun app & was off about 1.25 miles. I still plan on testing with starva. On my runs I have found that Surge & strava are pretty accurate
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has an altimeter, but I have it set to floors. You can customize your dashboard and add lots of things. It will count steps, but also miles traveled, from the built in gps. I bought it because we are starting some fitness trails around and inside the art center where I work. No malls here, so wanted to offer something for our volunteers during inclement weather. Plus, we as staff wanted to know how many floors, miles we're putting in during a typical day... because it's four floors tall, and the printer is down off one of our performance spaces - 4 floors below the stage. Just getting to meetings, on a busy day, I'm getting over 3 miles at work inside the building! Seriously, see if you can download the owner's manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took my surge with my to go through the Carlsbad Caverns, and it did not track elevation. It did well tracking steps and stairs (not counting the long downhill trail or uphill as stairs). However I did not test the GPS as I didn't think it would work there. I have not seen anything that will tell about elevation. I have seen however that there is on the GPS a way to view your trail/route online, so it might be available there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how you set it when you set up your setting but you can however go in and change them with whatever you are doing
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it is based on floors
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a built in altimeter which gives you a break down of floors reached. It doesn't give exact height but you could do the conversion. It also gives steps and distance traveled. It's basically the old one with text notifications and a continous heart rate monitor.
