“Is there any way to soften the constant rattle? Even if I have it on just the fan, I still get a loud rattle, like it's trying to cool. It is on a carpeted floor, and I have no idea what to do. Considering returning it. Had it less than a week!”

Was suffering the same fate! Our floors are very uneven and once I found the sweet spot that keeps it level, the rattling has completely stopped. My recommendation is to move it around a little bit and see if you can find a place where the floor is mostly flat. If that doesn't work, maybe try putting something (napkins or pieces of cloth?) underneath each of the casters to see if you can make it level. Good luck! It's way better without rattle!
