A:AnswerAbout the same. When running, it sounds like an average AC window unit. It doesn't run that much though due to the energy efficient temperature control. We never wake up when it turns off or on.

A:AnswerDear Carc: If the unit is rated at 15 amps that's usually 15A MAX already, like when turning it on or at MAX output. As far as YOUR situation, you MAY need an electrician (or someone well versed in these matters) to CHECK your wiring. Your unit should WORK on a 20A line, AS LONG AS THERE AREN'T OTHER HI-DRAW outlets or appliances on the LINE. If there ARE, you could do a couple of things. ONE): You COULD just use a higher amperage BREAKER to handle the extra LOAD- but ONLY if your wiring can HANDLE it in it's current state (no pun). That's where the EXPERT or ELECTRICIAN comes in. This is NOT a 'try & try again situation, and MUCH CAUTION should be used in ANY situation dealing with electricity and wiring. The OTHER option: 2) Adding a separate and DEDICATED LINE to your service (again, ELECTRICIAN) for the AC ONLY- and AGAIN- ONLY if your service has the capacity to HANDLE it. Of course, if you can find a unit with similar BTU rating but with a LOWER AMP rating (like I'm trying to do), this may be helpful too! Good luck and be CAREFUL. Overloaded lines and wiring can cause problems, right AWAY or sometimes- maybe down the road a'ways.

A:AnswerIt's pretty easy to mount it. I did it on my 5th story apartment window and it was fine. It's not very heavy for an ac, about 50 pounds but you will need at least 2 people to install it.
