Yes. I have mine set to 7 and everything started to freeze so I set it to 5. It does take about a day for it truly get cold though

Controller and the next day I found a bottle of soda half way frozen and my fruits were also frozen . I am guessing that if I go all the way up I can say that yes you can use it as a freezer . After my findings i lower back down to number 4 and it’s very cold . Hope you find my answer helpful. Angel Funes
