“Cleaning bucket I just bought this, and I can't figure out how to take the bucket top off so I can clean the inside. It's getting some kind of stain from the air in my basement and I'd like to clean it but can't see how it works. Anybody know how to get the plastic top piece off?”

After removing the bucket from the dehumidifier, do the following: - Move the handle to the up position to align the notches with the holes in the plastic - push the handle to one side and push the handle notches through the plastic holder on the other side. You will need to push the holder carefully not to break it. Once through, you can remove the other side of the handle. - In the back of the bucket, there are two tabs to lift up. Once you've done that, the top will come off easily.

First, remove the gray handle by carefully sliding it out one side of its mounting fins and then out the other. Then, gently pry the clear retention clips on the lid with your index fingers, and the lid will come off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to carefully remove the handle first by pushing the plastic tab that it is holding it out enough to release the handle. The there are two holding tabs in back you pop open and a tab in front you release by pushing the reservoir case forward a little. Once released the cover pulls up and out.
