I guess it depends on how you would define a "medium sized room" as the Manufacturer's website describes. It can pull as much as 50 pints a day out of the air, but does not commit to physical room dimensions, which would also depend on other physical and environmental variables out your room. I have it working effectively in a very small, 12'x12'x12', sealed basement room, with a consistent air temperature. I would expect it to function in a room 2-3 times that size with satisfactory results.
