Drains into a 13 pint reservoir. There's a float that causes the dehumidifier to shut off when full.

It has an automatic-shutoff when the water container reaches its maximum capacity.

One of the reasons I like this model is that when it is full, it automatically shuts off. The handle on the reservoir makes it easy to move for emptying.

No, there is a float mechanism like a toilet to shut it off.
