Yes. I was using a 5 gallon bucket to empty the dehumidifier container so that I could use the water to water the flower gardens. Now that we have had a lot of rain, I just inserted the drain hose connection and placed the dehumidifier over a floor drain and the water drips into the drain. It is threaded so that a hose can be attached if there is no floor drain nearby.
