No, a dehumidifier will actually make the room warmer. An A/C cools the room by taking the heat from the room and moving it to outside the house. Dehumidifiers don't have any outside vent, so all the heat stays in the room, including additional heat created by the compressor motor. If you want your room cooled as well, get an A/C unit. If you just need a room dried out (like a basement), this unit does a great job.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dehumidifiers are for drying the air, making it more comfortable, but it does not cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So by dropping down the humidity it will feel cooler in your room. However, the ambient heat the machine produces does make the general area around the dehumidifier warmer. As long as you have good relative air circulation, the room is not warm at al.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It actually makes the room hotter because it sucks up the moisture
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't think this is what you are looking for more. It removes extra moisture in your home. There are no cooling or AC type features
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does not work like an A/C unit. If you need to cool a room, then buy a portable A/C. That said, the dehumidifier can help your central A/C unit work better and make your home more comfortable by removing moisture from the air.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dehumidifiers do NOT cool a room. In fact, they will slightly warm a room as they work (burn energy) to take the moisture out of the air.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit removes moisture from the air. The fan that is apart of the functioning to remove moisture kicks off quite a breeze, but it is not comparable to an AC unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit does not work like an AC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will help take out any excessive moister in the air that may cause a room to smell musty or moist, commonly used in basements. A humidifier will throw off slight heat when running so if you thinking of buying this to help cool off a room this isn't for you but if you want to remove excessive moister or a musty that is being caused by moister this is for you.
