• There is nothing that needs to be emptied unless you put the unit in Dry mode. Dry mode is a dehumidifier mode and a hose needs to be attached and routed out a window. The condensation from the AC cooling is self evaporating.

• Hello Missy! There is not a drain pan located on the bottom of the air conditioner FFPA1422R1. On the rear of the air conditioner, located on the bottom there is a drain outlet. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-
