“How ofter does the unit need to be drained in cool mode? When I use it in cool mode the unit starts to leak within 30 minutes of use and that is after the unit was drained before use. How many pints of water does the bottom tray hold?”

Make sure the AC is level. If it is not it may leak. I use the AC for 12 hour nights in a very humid (Cape Cod) environment. Air is dehumidified and the floor is dry.
