“Can this unit model # FFPH1422R1 be used in any part of a room? Or does it have to be near a window? The windows in my home are French 5 ft. high and would have to be completely open admitting insects.”

Hi Margie! In the Cooling Mode the appliance must be placed close to a window or opening so that the warm exhaust air can be ducted outside.It will also need to be positioned on a flat floor with a minimum of 12" clearance around it. Hope this helps! -Thanks!-
