“How's the drain hose work? Must the hose go downward, ie to allow gravity to push the water out? Both windows I will be using are higher up than the a/c unit, so I'm not sure how the drain hose would work if it will also have to go higher than the unit”

• It attaches at the bottom for gravity drain.

• The drain hose comes out of the back of the unit. I have a bucket sitting behind the unit with the hose draining into it. My windows are higher than the unit. The hose does not come with the unit.
