“Does the Smudge Proof finish coordinate with other stainless steel appliances? I am curious if it will match my existing standard stainless steel appliances or if it has a darker or different appearance.”

The Smudge Proof finish is really nice but does NOT match the much lighter color stainless steel. It's best to see this in store before buying.

It does look a little different than other stainless, but not really that noticeable. It's no different than have different brand of stainless steal appliances.
