Does the water filter clean the water that the ice maker uses?   (6 Answers)

      Answer

Hi C! Thank you for the inquiry. The water filter used in model FGHC2331PF, does in fact filter the water used for the water dispenser as well as the water that is used to make ice. In general, you should change the water filter every six months to ensure the highest possible water quality. Water Filter Status on the user interface prompts you to replace the filter after a standard amount of water (200 gallons/757 liters for PureSource UltraTM) has flowed through the system. If your refrigerator has not been used for a period of time (during moving for example), change the filter before reinstalling the refrigerator. We hope this information proves to be of assistance, we are also welcome to receiving any concerns or question you may have via this website’s Q&A forum. -Best Regards-

The fridge seems to have a normal "stainless steel" look to it like the other non-stainless fridges on the market. It has the same sheen as my Fridgidare oven and dishwasher.

          Answer

Hello Frigidaire Friend! Our new refrigerators are designed to be more efficient in that they use newer components and run at a consistent speed/temperature for a longer period of time using less energy. If your refrigerator is located in a non-humid and not warm environment and you have set your appliance to the appropriate temperature settings (37ºF for refrigerator and 0ºF for your freezer section) you should notice that it runs at a lower speed for a longer period of time. This is one way it is designed to save on energy. Appliances use more energy when they constantly turn off and on. Our refrigerators are designed to allow the fan components inside to run after the compressor turns on. This allows the internal components to cool and the machine to rest even though you may still hear something running. If you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us directly or by resubmitting a question on this Q&A website. -Kind Regards-

Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your submission. In researching the side by side refrigerator, model FGHC2331PF, we were able to identify that the power cord would be located on the bottom right in the rear and the power cord length would be 6 feet. Purchased 1/19/15. Freezer stopped working 7/24/15 and notified Frigidaire next day. After six phone calls and almost 3 weeks later still no freezer. They sent service repair company that would come to house only with my credit card information ahead of visit. He was unable to fix. Frigidaire informed me today they will attempt to find another repair service in area for second opinion. Told this could take another 2-3 business days. Refrigerator side is working.
